Not getting along
I mourn the murder of Kelsey. A young life of promise destroyed. A family shattered. But I wonder, would I feel this way if she was old, ugly or a man? Possibly not. Maybe it is the destruction of beauty that spurs good to take place.

i agree with you.

yes, it was horrible...

but when do black/hispanic people get that kind of attention?

I was just thinking...living in Texas, there was a lot of media coverage when children of the hispanic community went missing..but it also depended on the circumstances surrounding the case...
In Kelsey's case, they had tons of video footage, watched the abduction and such.. in other cases, they don't have that, they don't have pictures of the perpetrator usually like that..sketches of people can only do so much..

I think that because they showed the video of the abduction on the news, it really affected people. They saw the struggle.

Have you head about the David Cornbleet case?

oh yea, i forgot about the video... that was eerie :(

my bf and i got in an arguement about this exact topic last night. i was like "news channels give people what they want to see"

The Cornbleet case seriously disturbed me.
A lady rode in the elevator with the killer, he was covered in blood. She reported him to the security of the office building in Chicago...they have home depot footage of the same guy...shows people walking all around him, and yet...almost a year later, and nothing.
His son does an amazing job of keeping the media informed about the case...He posts a lot of information about upcoming appearances on tv about the case on the myspace page

also, i was discussing with dr. drew on myspace the specifics of the case...
He was a dermatologist, it is possible that the killer was a patient who was being treated with accutane. But studies only mention suicide and depression, not psychosis or anything like that...it's possible that the killer could have been angry about his condition, blaming it on the Dr. and sought revenge. The only thing I can't piece together is the tube they see him carrying out... nobody knows what it is but they said it didn't appear that anything was stolen from the office. I'm not sure of the details of the cause of death or anything like that.

Sheesh I feel like a CSI or some crap

When they're the perpetrators. Whitey McMedia needs his stereotypes.
